Adam Milstein is an active philanthropist who supports Jewish organizations that value tradition and pro-Israeli policies. He is a real estate professional with over 30 years of experience, founder of the Milstein Foundation. Many of the organizations the Milstein Foundation supports include campus coalitions that promote Jewish causes throughout US universities, and others educate Jewish groups in ancient Hebrew language, learning about the Torah, and other old documents and teachings. Milstein’s pro-Israeli causes have had a far-reaching influence, including naming Milstein to the Jerusalem Post’s “Top 50 Most Influential Jews” list for 201, a list that includes people like Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US Senator Chuck Schumer, and philanthropist Lynn Schusterman.
Adam Milstein was born in Israel to a homemaker and building framer. Both his parents had relocated to Israel after it was declared they were a recognized nation-state in 1948. Adam’s father even fought in the young nation’s independence war prior to becoming a framer, and Adam would also follow in those footsteps when the time came. Adam moved around with his family as a young man and learned many of the skills of his father’s occupation. He served in the Israeli army in the Yom Kippur War of 1973, serving in the unit under then Commander Ariel Sharon. Once Adam had completed his service, he enrolled at the Technion Israeli Technology Institute. He got his bachelor’s in business and real estate, and after marrying Gila Elgrably he worked with his father on various property developments.
Adam Milstein moved with his wife and young children to Los Angeles in 1981 where he soon completed his MBA at USC. He became a real estate agent at Hager Pacific Properties where he later became Managing Partner. In addition to founding the Milstein Foundation, Adam Milstein has helped start several advocacy groups including the Israeli-American Council (IAC), the American-Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Stand With Us, and Israel Allies Foundation (IAF). Milstein has spoken at various campuses and seminars.
