Brown Modeling Agency – Breaking The Stereotypes Of Modeling And Dominating The Industry

A Versatile State in the South

Texas is home to many companies that are leading their industries. The lack of state income tax makes the Lone Star State stand out in the eyes of businesses. Besides enormous organizations from the car, banking, finance, accounting, and a lot more industries, people can also find one of the most established talent agencies in the nation. The company is led by Justin Brown who seems to be the person behind the name as well, hence ” Brown Agency“.

A Brief Overview

Besides its headquarters in Austin, the capital of Texas, this modeling and talent agency is also present in Dallas and Los Angles. Their employees have achieved amazing success, including working for giant brands such as:

The Partnership

  • Louis Vuitton
  • L’Oreal
  • Toyota

The company was originally called Heyman Talent-South, right before getting acquired by Wilhelmina Austin in 2015, when the name was changed to its current one. Wilhelmina Austin decided to work with the brand because of their overly positive growth trend and unlimited potential for improvement.

Company’s Outreach

Sice an everyday individual is very active on the internet, The Brown Agency has taken full advantage of this. They offer an interactive website where one can see all of their bookings, as well as social media profiles on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube. Current endeavors have taken talented actors and models all across the United States. These include, but are not limited to, Austin, Dallas, and New York Fashion Weeks, as well as some less mainstream events such as Miami Swim Week.

The Models

The company has a rich portfolio with hundreds of models. These individuals all vary in characteristics, age, and interests. A person looking for a model for their commercial interests, clothing lines, or anything else can certainly find the appropriate pick by visiting the company’s website. The usual division includes fashion, commercial, and theatrical models which all work in different fields. Fortunately, The Brown Company has dozens of people who belong to all three of these fields.

The Blog

As a part of their internet utilization, the company offers a blog, see blog.brownagency.co, where people can inquire and ask random questions. They do not discriminate or hire solely based on looks and, according to their blog, there is almost no person who would be unable to find a place for themselves somewhere in this industry. This is why this company gives a lot more than a simple modeling business. Their endeavors have made them the only organization of its kind in Austin, and they do not seem to be slowing down with their projects!

The Brown Agency Represents Top Texas Talent

Corporations including Dell, Dodge, Holiday Inn, L’Oréal, Louis Vuitton, Toyota, and Whole Foods have used the modeling talents of The Brown Agency. Models represented by the Brown Agency have appeared at New York Fashion Week, Miami Swim Week, Dallas Fashion Week, and Austin Fashion Week. Fashion and print models are represented by the full-service creative agency, which also has a theatrical division.

Film, commercial, television, voice-over, and industrial film talent are all represented by The Brown Agency. Models have also been hired for corporate, convention, trade show, and promotional work.

The Brown Agency was launched in September 2015 when Wilhelmina Austin acquired the Heyman Talent-South agency. At the time, The Brown Agency became one of very few talent agencies in the state of Texas and the only major talent agency in the city of Austin. In addition to its main office in Austin, The Brown Agency has regional offices in Dallas and Los Angeles.

Justin Brown, formerly the head of Wilhelmina Austin, took on the role of CEO at The Brown Agency. Brown is a former model himself; you may have seen him in Lucky Brand ads for skinny jeans. A native of Reno, Nevada, he spent his early career in California before moving to Austin in 2005. He started his first licensed, full-service talent agency in 2008. Justin’s favorite quote is, “We are only as good as our talent.”

According to Market Wired, the theatrical division of the agency is Michael B. Bonnée, who previously worked under Heyman Talent-South. Michael B. Bonnée is also the co-founder and CEO of Magnolia Media Productions, a bespoke video production company. Magnolia Media’s productions include music videos, live events coverage, real estate videos, and hospitality virtual tours.

Brown’s staff of seven agents currently represents more than 450 talents. The Brown Agency, like all modeling agencies located within the state of Texas, is regulated by the Texas Workforce Commission.

For aspiring models in the Austin area, The Brown Agency offers an open call from 3 to 4 p.m. every Thursday. The Austin office is located at 100 Congress Ave. Aspiring models do not need to bring professional photographs with them.
